Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, former chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, explains easy techniques anyone can master. Chef Burrell was a student and worked at the top New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Early on, while growing up in New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her after she graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in English as well as Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful experience for me. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was an excellent opportunity to pursue a degree. After graduating Chef Burrell was in Italy for a whole year studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) located in Tuscany. In Italy Burrell developed a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine and its culture. It will have a significant impact on the way she cooks. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to enhance living conditions for kids who are facing difficulties. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation (JDRF) celebrity ambassador, and is a vocal advocate for awareness of children's diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and teacher she travels across the US to talk about her love for cooking and professional career. Anne said she felt lucky that I could be able to share her passion for cooking with the people around her.
